About Sally

I am a Civil Celebrant and ritual maker, a corporate MC, a published author - The Heart and Soul of Celebrancy, the owner of The Celebrants Training College, the owner/director of Sally Cant Consulting - an IT Consultant, the Marketing Manager for LifeWorks Relationship Counselling and Education Service, a board member of FIMAC (Funeral Industry Ministerial Advisory Council), a member of Threshold Relationship Educator Journal Advisory Board, a member of the MAREAA committee, a prior owner of an IT company (3legs.com.au), a University lecturer, an award winning artist and a mother of three. I conduct myself in any of these areas, personal or professional, with integrity and with a high degree of ethics. And although I adhere to the Code of Practice that has been set down by the Attorney General's Dept for all celebrants I have always worked within Best Practice guidelines.

I have had a successful business career, with the skills learnt during that time helping me to communicate well with people and understand their needs. I am a vocal and highly visible advocate for the Celebrant Industry, a stanch advocate, and passionate about, social justice, the environment and discrimination issues. I am on a number of Boards, Advisory Boards, committees and charity work.

What can I offer you?

  • I can offer you the very best in ceremony.
  • I am an experienced celebrant - offering the very highest in standards, and options for your ceremony.
  • I am warm, friendly and genuinely care about people.

I was appointed a Civil Celebrant back in 1995 and thoroughly enjoy every moment that I spend creating and performing ceremonies. Along with my career the other things that I do in my life include painting and complimentary therapies (Shiatsu Practitioner), reading, football - yes I am a proud supporter of Collingwood, visiting galleries, going to the movies and spending time with my valued friends.

I am a Watercolour artist and held my first exhibition in October of 1999. I currently have works in private collections around Australia and Washington DC.  I have a Graduate Diploma of Celebrancy and a Member of the Australian Institute of Management. I love mentoring celebrants and students and hope that by doing that we will continue to improve the level of service offered to clients.
